The EverFlo Oxygen concentrator is an important solution for Oxygen patients. To secure optimal levels of performance, one needs to maintain it well. This means conducting regular EverFlo filter replacements to protect the inner mechanism of the equipment from clogging or contamination.

The EverFlo concentrator uses this air inlet filter as a replacement part, which shields the equipment from harmful particles and ensures highly effective operation on a long-term basis. The EverFlo inlet filter will need to be replaced every two years, and the filter door needs to be cleaned every month at least. If you are working in a particularly particle-heavy environment, you may need to clean the door and replace the filter more frequently.

WHY IS MY EVERFLO OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR BEEPING?

If the yellow light stays lit and the audible alarm continues beeping periodically, it means the airflow to the device is impeded or blocked.
To clean turn the device off and disconnect from the power. Source clean the exterior including the filter. Clean using a damp cloth with a mild household cleaner and wipe it dry.
 
The Respironics EverFlo filters are low maintenance. It can be used for 6-12 months , however advisable for 6 months - if the machine is in continuous use.
 

There are generally 2 filters. One internal filter is called a Bacteria Filter, and the main Hepa filter is behind the access door on the rear of the oxygen concentrator.

 

This machine is designed to run and last a very long time. The typical life span is around 15,000 hours or more of use.

The purpose of humidification is to provide moisture which makes Oxygen therapy comfortable; if not used, can cause dryness in the airways of the nose and throat. Usually, the use of a humidifier is recommended in a continuous flow of more than 2 LPM.
 
It can be used 24X 7 with 5 to 10 minutes gaps after 3 to 4 hours so that a heating problem does not arise.
 
The filter can be changed any time after usage of 2500 hrs but before 4000 hrs for better purity and prolonged life.
 
It is recommended to keep an Oxygen cylinder as a backup source. In case of emergency
