No, using more than prescribed oxygen can cause Oxygen toxicity/Oxygen poisoning in the body which has many harmful effects like damage to eyes, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), alveolar damage, destruction of neurons, etc.
The purpose of humidification is to provide moisture which makes Oxygen therapy comfortable; if not used, can cause dryness in airways of nose and throat. Usually, use of humidifier is recommended in continuous flow of more than 3 LPM.
It can be used 24X 7 with 5 to 10 minutes gaps after 3 to 4 hours so that heating problem does not arise.
Filter can be changed any time after usage of 4000 hrs but before 5000 hrs for better purity and prolong life.

Yes, you can use a humidifier bottle with the SimplyGo. The machine must be set on continuous for a humidifier bottle to work. When using a humidifier bottle, don’t pull the machine around leave it stationary. If you have a humidifier bottle on the machine and you are laying the unit down or going over bumps with the cart, the water can get backed up in the tubing and go into the machine.

This mode enables the Oxygen Concentrator to produce Oxygen only when the patient is inhaling and not otherwise; hence, reducing the load on the machine. When a patient inhales, it causes negative air pressure which activates the Oxygen Concentrator to provide Oxygen at that very moment as and when required.

The general rule is to clean the oxygen concentrator’s inlet filter weekly, but you should check the unit’s manual for the manufacturer’s recommendations. You may want to give the filter an extra wash if you notice any buildup or have recently been to an especially dusty place.
The Intake Filter is located on the back of the Everflo, behind the panel. You may need to use a quarter or butter knife to open the panel. The Filter is located inside of this cabinet. This filter should be replaced as necessary, on average every 2 years.
